When former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin stepped into the spotlight, her look instantly became a key element of her public persona. Because it is rare for a politician to have a background in modeling, it makes perfect sense that she usually wears makeup.
The main exception to this rule is when she works out, as cosmetics and exercise generally do not go well together. Paparazzi once caught Palin walking out of a gym completely makeup-free in Arizona, her newer place of residence. This highlights a subtle trend, as she appears to have a preference for states beginning with the letter "A."
